For licensing or game check assistance, please call 614-265-6300 between 6 a.m.-10 p.m. ET, or you may email us at: wildinfo@dnr.ohio.gov.
The online transaction fee is how the agency pays for maintenance and support of the system. The fee is assessed per transaction (not per product) for any recreational license or permit with an associated cost.
The fee is only assessed online (internet, mobile, and mobile app).
There are multiple ways to report your harvest, depending on what works best for you:
- Online (internet, mobile phone, or the HuntFish OH mobile app)
- In-person at any license agent
- Phone (hunters using a permit): 1-877-TAG-IT-OH (1-877-824-4864)
- Operator Assisted ($5.50 fee applies): 1-866-703-1928
To report Online, click on the Report a Harvest button at the top of the page. Be sure to complete the checkout process. You must still check out for your submission to be recorded in the system.
1.) If you are already logged in, you will be given the option to choose the permit or the landowner harvest survey (if applicable) you are checking against.
2.) You may also report a harvest without logging in. Please see below before using the guest option.
- If you have a permit on your account, the harvest will be reported under that permit.
- If you have multiple types of permits on your account (i.e.: an either-sex and a management deer permit, or a deer permit and fall turkey permit), you will be asked to select which type of permit you are using.
- If you have multiple permits of the same type (i.e.: 2 either-sex permits), the system will automatically use the oldest permit first.
- If you do not have a permit, the system will assume you are reporting as a landowner.
* If you are not presented with the correct reporting path, you should sign in and check your account.
To report a harvest using the guest feature, you will be asked a few questions so we know what account to apply the harvest to.
- You must enter your last name (as it appears on your account), date of birth, and either your customer number or the permit number.
Tips:
- If you are a new customer, you will need to Sign In and create an account.
- If you are reporting as a landowner, you will need to enter your Customer ID, since you don't have a permit number.

Logging In and Creating Accounts
Linking an account allows users to act on another's behalf to make a purchase, complete game check, or register them for events. There are two types of linked accounts, Peer-to-Peer and Guardian-to-Member.
- Guardians may access the profile of their associated Members to access profile information. This allows parents or other adults to manage children member profiles.
- In Peer-to-Peer relationships, access to other profiles is not allowed, maintaining the adult customer’s privacy.
Linked Users may have different options depending on age. The table below shows the options available for the account you are linking with, and associated permissions/actions with each type.

Whether you are a new customer or an existing customer, before purchasing a license online you must first create a secure login using an email address and secure password.
- Enter your Email Address. Note: the username must be a unique email address. If you need to create one, companies such as Google, Microsoft, AOL, and Yahoo offer free email accounts.
- Enter a secure Password.
You will be asked to verify the email address before proceeding. Check your email for a six-digit code, and type it in when asked.
- Enter your information. If you are an existing customer, we strongly encourage you to include your Customer ID to improve accuracy in account matching.
- If the system found a matching account, you will be asked to verify the account.
- If the system did not find a matching account, you will be asked to complete a new customer profile.
- Review the information on your profile, verify your residency, and Save.
